S'pose notes come first ... then it all depends upon the mood. If I'm being needy, I'll check my messages. Haven't really had the quality time around this joint as of late, which is regretible - 'cuz there's soo much quality to be had.
I generally check my lack of comments, then avoid looking at the 4-figure number in the devwatch section I occasionally check out people's pages, but I've given up on the deviations as a lost cause unless they create a 'Remove All' option that gets rid of more than one user's work at a time. Or indeed any of a user's work; it appears at random in there!
I check through my messages and look and see if anybody commented on my submissions....which is hardly ever...so then i look at the messages that i really wanted to see a response to....
Damn, I forgot about notes! I usually check the subject and if it's urgent I open it first. Or if the notes aren't mega-urgent, I do them after journals and before devwatch. Oh my god, I am so bloody OCD about this...and I never realised until just now!
Always the comments. Maybe I'm weird, but I usually just delete the miscellaneous messages cause there's not really any response for them, if that makes sense. Then I reply to comments. Then I read journals and do polls. Then check my page for comments left on it. And finally, I check out my devwatch and comments on stuff. Or if my brain isn't working (which is often!) I leave my devwatch until I'm in full thinking mode and can leave constructive comments and stuff a little more in-depth than "That's great, I need coffee" on people's work!
It's pretty much what i do. Log on, check notes, delete misc then comments, journals, polls. Have a look at deviations and delete anything i can't be bothered with. Then probably do a club round and come back to the deviations
