No...I write what I write for me ussually. Even if it was inspired or requested by something/someone else, I wrote it to my standards and their standards don't really factor in...It's great to receive recognition, but I'll always know what my best work is, because it's what feels the best to me-not them.
I don't thinlk so ... I love most my pieces for different reasons ... there are some fun,playfull, or personal things hiiden in my scraps I like as much if not more. I also know the flaws of my most faved .. where it failed for me, but not everyone catches them or is kind enough to overlook them.
Most definately not. My most faved work was something I threw together in about 30 minutes. My ABC's, the ABC serial killer thing. Although I admit its a stellar concept I came up with, it has almost no artistic or creative value, i'd say. But. Whatever floats peoples boats.
I don't think my fave is my best work... but I do think that to me my best work is the work I put the most feelings and passion into.... and it's why there are pieces I cherish as my own.
