Interview with TheOuroboros
Hi ~TheOuroboros, could you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Well where to start Im Italian, so, first of all, sorry for my English
Its been nearly ten years since I approached, for the third time in my life, the world of photography. This time, with a new interest and renewed taste, for Im finally found a way to be at ease with myself and the others.
You know, Italy its not a good place for subculture as goth, for example, thats my way of life. Im a really sober person in my everydays life, so Im not too conspicuous when I go around, still, be as I am, its quiet difficult at times, specially when you try to express yourself with your work. Not many places to show your art, not many people who really appreciate it or understand it as you can see in the rest of the world.
Well, Ive got my fans and Im very grateful to them for the support and the faithful following, but sometimes you need some more knowing that elsewhere, what you do its better understood.

What camera and lenses do you use?
Nowadays, Im using a Canon EOS 1000D. Its not a PRO camera, but its quite good while Im searching for a better one, and Im glad that my dad was an appreciator himself so I can count on his lenses form his analogic one

Do you have any other equipment that you couldnt do without?
I use reflecting panels that are very useful for lighting in every condition, especially outdoors that is my favourite choice of shooting.

What lighting techniques do you favour?
As Im saying before, generally I prefer to shoot outdoors so natural light would be light was my favourite, but I like to control it, so I use the panel to direct it as I prefer (this must be done by someone else, so, Ive got assistants

What are your favourite things about Pinup & Glamour?
I like to consider myself an aesthete, so I like about them the neatness, the attention for details, the style that is, in my opinion a trade mark for that kind of pictures, so beautiful and elegant, even when they show tattooed or pierced beauty, for example.

Whats the most impressive place that youve photographed?
The place where I have not yet been to XD
I like to search for always new and interesting place, abandoned sites or naturalistic spots.

Who would be your ultimate subject to photograph?
I never think of it maybe some amazing models such Ophelia Overdose, which often creates its own outfit

Who are your favourite photographers?
Absolutely, above all, I can stop looking at the works of Silent View *_*, I also love Annie Bertram (Darkview) and Viona (who doesent XD) and recently I found Bommi and fell in love with is colours *_*

What (or who?) is your biggest inspiration?
Most of all the goth subculture, especially books and films and music videos, or bands, something like that, or just a place, while driving, caught my attention and becomes an ideal place for a few ideas that lingers in my mind for some time

What do you think is the most important thing to keep in mind when photographing Pinup & Glamour?
I think I will repeat myself. Neatness.
I really think the difference is there, in the clearly studied and perfect construction of the picture, from the pose of the model down to the crease in the concrete.

What advice would you give to someone looking to start in Pinup & Glamour Photography, or to get the best from the Genre?
Bear clearly in mind that above all the picture must be BEAUTIFUL, it could be even disturbing in some ways, but in a neat and dignified manner hope that I explained myself clearly enough XD

Thanks to ~TheOuroboros!!
