Beyond Boundaries: Let the challenge begin!What is this?
Welcome to the latest official photomanipulation competition. This contest is a bit different; we have divided contestants into teams, which will be led by coaches. The contestants will train with their coaches for 4 weeks and then have 4 more weeks to create a photomanipuation on their own.

What are the rules?
The rules for this competition are as follows:
:bulletpink: If you can't take constructive criticism, please withdraw from the game now. You will be disqualified the very first time you attack your coach or teammates or give them a hard time for providing you with critique.
:bulletpink: Your coach and teammates cannot do anything FOR you; they can only guide you. You must do your own work.

- What is Art History -


Art History is a Community Relations Project - looking at the History of the genres and art we love today.
This is open to any member of dA. CV's, Senior members, Beta testers, Subbed and Unsubbed accounts - EVERYONE. 
Over the last year we have brought you exciting articles and features from the various genres of Art. We are now going to move into the second wave of this Project, by working through chronologically.
What we now want is for anyone with any interest in Art History to sign up!

Designs and Interfaces UpdateWith `princepal's term as Community Volunteer being over (go hug him and say thanks :aww: ) the position for Designs & Interfaces is currently open again, you can learn about how to apply here.
For the time being, I will also accept Daily Deviation suggestions from the Designs & Interfaces gallery. :la: So keep them coming! 
This also means, that if you apply for the open position and become a Volunteer, we will work together on the gallery: support deviants and related groups, host contests and challenges, write featured articles and so on and on.

February will be Film&Animation and Flash Month in #ArtHistoryProject!


What are we looking for?

I'd like to sign up for Film & Animation month. I'm already a contributor, so there's no need to change that.

I'd like to write an article about Kyle Cooper / Movie title sequences in general. Is February 12th still available?

In case we do bio's of an artist, do we need to add refectences, literature used and/or external links, such as video of their work on Youtube or other such sites? I'd make and article about one of the early visual effect "master", Slavko Vorkapic. As for the date, I don't know yet, but will know soon.

That's completely up to you, but if you feel it would add better background to your piece then it sounds like a really good idea :)
