How long have you been in Modelling?
I've been a model for going on five years now, I believe; but it's only over the last two that I've seriously considered myself as being a serious model. Originally, I was just posing for friends with nice cameras, and thrilled that I looked half-decent, because I'd spent the last five years or so previously terrified of cameras!

What makes you choose the genre you work with?
I primarily work in the alternative fashion genre, because that's what I love; I love shiny clothes and I love things that make people look twice. I love walking down the street in ridiculous wigs and makeup. I love colour and texture, and matching things that no one in the mainstream would ever try. I mean, I've always been a little odd, so why not embrace it?

What do you look for in a Photographer?
When I work with a photographer, I look for what any model looks for: the quality of their work. I've been lucky enough to be contacted by photographers such as Sito Alvina, and Vimal Patel, whose work I recognize immediately -- basically, photographers that I would trip all over myself to work with. For photographers whom I don't recognize, I just look for their work to catch my eye. So long as their port is in focus and generally artistic, I'm generally pretty open to working with them.

Where is your favourite place to shoot?
My favourite place to shoot is probably downtown Toronto -- just out in the open. The amount of people who wander by, and then stay to gawk for a while is always priceless. One time, I even had a little girl suggest poses for me -- she was so thrilled when I actually did them. It made my day.

What do you hope to do with your Art?
The major thing I want to achieve with my art is to be recognized within the industry as a Professional Freelance model -- that is, a model that, while not affiliated with any agency, one would hire for jobs and then pay. I mean, a girl, even a model, has to eat!

How long have you been in Photography?
I've been running my photography business for 3 years now and did 2 years of college studying photography and building my portfolio.

What makes you choose the genre you work with?
I love shooting people and enjoy alt glam as a genre because its fun and tends towards collaborative work with models and make-up artists.

What do you look for in a Model?
I like working with models who are confident, creative and relaxed in front of the camera.  It's always a bonus to work with models who have their own artistic ideas cause it makes the process so much more enjoyable.

Where is your favourite place to shoot?
I love working in my studio cause it's my artistic home and all my kits and (masses of) props live there so there's no carting about of stuff to be done.  When it comes to location work, I have a weakness for derelict buildings.

What do you hope to do with your Art?
More of what I'm doing now.  I absolutely adore my job and couldn't imagine doing anything other than photography.  A bit more free time for recreational art would be great too.

How long have you been in Photography?
I have been into photography for about 5 years now. I have been doing photography semi-Professionally for a little over a year.

What makes you choose the genre you work with?
I chose my Genre because I like things to be a little dark in photographs, or sometimes just morbid and/or sad. There is the occasional happy or bright photograph but I like to convey the feeling lost. Honestly I find my life pretty happy so I try to convey something in my portraits that interests me and sad, morbid or dark does that.

What do you look for in a model?
When I look for a model I look for someone fun minded and that can have fun. i don't like to give a whole lot of direction because I want to capture the Models personality. I usually look for someone with harsh features to have a cool lighting contrast.

Where is your favourite place to shoot?
My favourite place to shot is a hard question. If I had to choose I suppose I would choose a park, or the woods. The woods have a certain mystery about them and I love to capture that. I have very few photos uploaded with the woods though...

What do you hope to do with your Art?
I hope to become a fashion photographer and own my own business. I would love to work for a big magazine and have my own studio to do all my work. I would love to make it so people have a bit better for models because there are great people out there who don't always get the chance to fulfill their dream to become a full-time model.

How long have you been in Modelling?
I have been into modelling for about six months, more researching and doing self portraits, but I've only been working with more professional photographers, going to shoots, and that kind of stuff, for the past month.

What makes you choose the genre you work with?
I work with many genres, but I tend to work more with the glamour genre.  I was a tom boy growing up, I was always playing out in the mud or playing some video game, I have never been a girly girl.  So it's nice to get all girlied up for a shoot and glamour photography lets me do that.

What do you look for in Photographer?
Someone who has the same taste in photography as me.  I like them to have a unique, creative look to their photos, someone who really "brings it".  Plus I like to by goofy at my shoots, but I know when to get down to business, so it's always a plus to have a photographer that is lighthearted and fun to work with.

Where is your favourite place to shoot?
On location shots are the best!  I love to shoot in more outdoor shots, whether they're in a field or by a creak, it's all good to me as long as it's outside.

What do you hope to do with your Art?
I always hope to inspire people with my art cause it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I do.  I would like to get my art more out there and become a full time model one day, and hopefully get to travel and work with all different photographers and get to meet new people.

Industrial areas, even though I’ve been shooting in a studio for the last 2 years, it would be nice to get out into those cool locals again.
