Urban Exploration #4Climbing The Shard
Last year, Urban Exploration was thrown into the spotlight when images of a student who evaded security at 'The Shard' in London started to circulate - he'd shimmied up to the top of the tallest building in Europe... Behind this particular stunt was The London Consolidation Crew - they like to climb buildings after dark. And why not? The views can be incredible. It once again highlights how Urban Exploration isn't 'making a nuisance of yourself' as so many think, but rather, showing the world what they are missing out on. Photography is just a small part of Urban Exploration but the advancement of digital media is a huge asset. You can read more about The Shard stunt here.

Hey there, I am an independent self-taught painter from Slovakia. As for my art style, I do a lot of watercolour / mixed media experiments on paper, depicting people and figures, but what I do with oil and acrylic on canvas is completely different.

PE - Furcadia Ports and Stamps: CategorizationSometimes the category system here on dA can get a little confusing. For example; you created a piece using pixeling techniques but you intend to use it as an icon. Where do you categorize it? A lot of people just are not sure. So this article should help to clear it up.
When it comes to categorization, intended use can be a huge factor. In this case, Furcadia portraits would belong in the Icons and Handhelds gallery instead of Pixel Art or Anthro, because while it may have been created pixel by pixel and the subject is anthro, it was created for use as a portrait (often shortened to port), with specific size parameters and place of display kept in mind. By putting them in Icons, ports are easy to find and media doesn't separate them; some ports are not done in a pixel by pixel manner but as they are similar in theme and intended use, they should be seen in the same area. I have been putting off doing this for a little while now.

Once I get my portable server farm set up in a way that doesn't make me want to punch babies (well, more than usual), I'll have to remember to submit all my KDE4 Themes, Iconsets, Customisations, Widgetsets and other Linux based stylization.

I mean... yeah, I'd be doing my stuff in Linux and most likely KDE4... as well, I HATE Gnome3... with XFCE and LXDE not really lending well to customization, and Enlightenment 18 does not appear to exist. I also cannot afford an Apple... and I'm mostly waiting to get a Windows 8 computer for the purpose of busting into it, and teaching it how to dance for my wily fingers.

The thing is, I just need a kick in my butt to get to it... and I guess this might be the one,
