Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

Her art is fantastic, and she has always wanted a premium but never got the chance to have one because she's always busy with softball and doesn't have the time to make money or points. I really wish she could have one. It would make her so much happier, and I always love when my friends are happy.

She's a great artist with a very cute style, and her premium just ran out. Now, she's upset that she lost all the information in the custom boxes on her page. She can't remember everything she had typed there...and I've never seen her this upset before. It's worrying me. She may have lost something very important.

But, anyway, if I'm not allowed to nominate two people, then I just nominate Naomi-Tsuka because she's been my best friend for about six years now, and she's probably the only person I can actually personally talk to about things & I just love her art

There is an artist here that has some simply FANTASTIC work... her name is ~EdithRose, and she has been wanting a premium sub for a while now... however, she cannot afford it, and is far too proud to ask. She doesn't know I'm nominating her for a premium sub (in fact, she hardly knows me... I'm just a fan of her work is all) and I believe, that if she were to win a premium sub, it would encourage her to do even more work, and help boost her art to that next level.

I'd like to nominate my friend ~WingedLioness. She is an active user of deviantART, a truly kind person, and is a wonderful and creative artist whose work is always improving. She was given a sub earlier in the year by a friend, and made full use out of many premium features, such as journal skins, polls, and so on. I was sad to see her sub run out. She will be entering college this fall, and with all the new art I anticipate she'll be creating and sharing with her watchers, I'd love to see her be able to make full use of dA's premium membership.

You probably won't know these people... two of them I met on the forums and... yeah, it can get pretty crazy there, but these are the most decent kind of people you'll ever meet.. for me, anyway.

~L0NE-W0lf is very approachable in the forums, though I have to say she does most of the approaching. Anyway, she engages with a lot of people and interacts with loads of people, definitely making my stay in the forums an enjoyable one.

~SanguineLaw is an amazing guy whose circumstances are pretty awful, but he still pulls through, and he is just as easy to get along with as ~L0NE-W0lf. He's pretty under-appreciated, and as unknown as ~L0NE-W0lf.

~mantha1624 has done a lot of behind-the-scenes work for me at #ProjectComment. I would like to give her something back, but.. yeah, I'm pretty stretched thin myself. Either way, she has helped me a heck of a lot and has done so, so much, not to mention most of what she has done has been 'dog' work.

Anyway, if any of them get one, that would be amazing.

One of the most talented photographers, tha doesnt't edit her images with any program at all, is ~IrishBuffaloGirl. She has been trying so hard for a Premium Membership, without asking deviants for a Premium Membership. She dedicates her time to deviantART whilst managing her work as well.
She has a lot of talent as she does community spirit and I think she is a fantastic deviant to get awarded a Premim Membership!
