Project Educate Photography ScheduleWelcome to the General Photography Project Educate week! Since there are so many sub-galleries of Photography here on deviantART, we're not going to be able to cover every single one this week. And since there are various specific CVs for those galleries, they will hopefully (and have in the past) taken care of that! So this week is more about covering a few basic bits and pieces, and giving a bit of education on topics that people have recently been asking about. So without further ado, here's what you can expect this week: Monday 13th May Introductory Article and Photography CVsPhotography Games Article from ^3wyl on behalf of #CRPhotography Tuesday 14th May Taking better Product Photos by ^Kaz-DPeople and Portraits Exposed by ^Kaz-D Wednesday 15th May Critique night in #CRPhotography more info here. Let's Talk about the Lit Community... Just a reminder that chat event is TODAY at 8pm GMT (We're technically in BST!) what time is that for me?Greetings all!Almost all of us on deviantART want to know how we are doing. We also know that to get any element of an answer, we have to put a lot of work in ourselves. It all sounds very exhausting, doesn't it?We would like to openly discuss solutions the community can enact from within. This isn't just "what can the CVs do", but what can YOU do too. We don't want to waste good effort on the wrong things and moreso, we want to try to encourage more of you to get involved as individuals.Let's look at the results from the #

Deviant ID feature 3You choose your ID picture to display on your front page right next to your nickname, interests, your bio and all the info that is all about you. It's quite obvious then that the ID itself is - in most cases - all about you as well. Let's take a peek at some really neat ones; and since an ID picture is an essence of one's style and personality, perhaps you'll find new galleries to watch? Here is the last feature from this mini serie - but who knows, perhaps I'll make some more later.

Photography Troubleshooting: The Watermark FAQ"How do I protect my photography and art in general?"~=Eitvys200 "As =Eitvys200 pointed out, at least 1 journal per month makes it to the top of the list and is about stealing art. Sometimes this is something small such as posting a piece to facebook, other times you see hoards of pieces on a website selling wallpapers or something similar. Regardless of how it happens, or where, it can hurt just as much to see your hard work disregarded and especially someone else profiting or taking credit.Protecting work is a huge deal for some people, and not for others. It depends entirely on your outlook - how you view your work and indeed whether or not there needs to be some constrictions on it due to the content being a child, or family member. But how do we protect our work properly from art theft and wrongful use? The simple answer is you can't provide for every eventuality. Even if you upload your work to a website where right click -> copy is disabled,
I Came, I dAmned, I Founded [17]In this ongoing series of articles, we probe the minds of some dAmn's channel founders to find out what makes them tick, how they've made their room a success and what tips they can provide to budding channel owners.---This month is *aughters and :#WriteRoom:---1) First off *aughters, can you tell us a little bit about yourself!Hi, I've been lurking on deviantART for around 3 years. I'm a pretentious 17 year old pseudo-artist who doesn't do much except for the occasional web design, and I write plenty (hence :#WriteRoom.2) When did you first discover dAmn, and can you remember the first room you ever chatted in?About a week after joining dA I found dAmn. The first room I joined was :#devArt:, but there were too many people and I knew none of them, so it didn't feel like the right place to be. It wasn't a very exciting first time.3) What prompted you to create :#WriteRoom Did you feel dAmn was missing a room on a specific topic? Did you think other roo
