This picture is certainly wicked, twisted and scary!
At first glance all the attention is focused on the hand, which stands out with a striking pose; fingers curved and reaching out, long nails pressed on the hard ground that makes you almost expect the hand to reach out and grab you!
This creates a distraction to the background, which is blurred and less obvious. But that is a very clever technique. Because when they look for whose hand it is, and as they focus into the background...they see her with a dark evil smile!
And that's what I loved most about this photo.
Its amazing how your photo of just a single hand and a face you cannot see clearly can make one scream and run for help, figuratively at-least.
Correct amounts of lighting and focus on the hand, blurred backdrop, the image being black and white, model's pose, etc
had a good impact on the picture. Great work!
